1795 Draped bust Dollar B-14 BB-51 (off center) XF

Description

This coin is a heartbreaker.  Not too surprised it came back from grading as an XF, but was hoping (obviously) for AU.  The fields are unusually specular for this grade.  The big disappointment however came with the "rim damage" moniker.  On the reverse, just below the "UN" in united you can see slight damage to the dentition there. Very surprised it was enough to get a details label.
In the past we've all been taken in by altered photos, hidden "details" and over estimated conditional status of coins.  I am sensitive to the concerns of buyers and I always try my best to take the most representative images possible.  Offset and ring lighting enhances both detail and imperfections on a coin surface. I always image at normal incidence to the coin so as not to impose bright reflection that can give unrealistic brilliance.  I will add any information I believe is relevant to a particular coin, both positive or negative.  If I think a coin has been cleaned I will say so.  I am not a certified grader and I offer no estimation of specific grade.
