All of the front page is taken up with reports from: "London - House of Lords" which includes some comments about the war in America, mentioning in part:
"...Were we better now in America than we were? His Grace apprehended not; we had lost the only port that was worth keeping. The French had taken possession of Rhode Island...A great deal indeed has been said of our late victory by Lord Cornwallis...Much too had been said of the desertion of General Arnold who had lately come over to us...Nothing more than that we had lost a good man and found a bad one; for the loss we had sustained by the death of Major Andre was much more than the gain we had reaped by the acquisition of General Arnold..."
and more.
Page 2 has a report noting:
"...Brigadier General Arnold was detached into North Carolina with a body of troops in order to make a diversion in favour of & perhaps finally to join Earl Cornwallis...".
Then a report from Alexandria, Virginia.
Page 3 has mention that:
"...Yale College have conferred the Doctorate in Laws upon his Excellency General Washington..."
