    We saw another seller point this out in their listings so we're adding it too. In the paper instructions FIREBIRD states that after filling you need to turn the butane all the way down and then slowly turn it up little by little until it lights and then do any final adjustments. Every lighter returned to us as defective has worked perfectly when adjusted this way.
