    Description

The L-188 Electra is a turboprop airliner built by Lockheed Corporation. First flown in 1957, it was the first large turboprop airliner built in the United States. With it's unique high power-to-weight ratio, Allison 501-D13 engines with huge propellers, very short wings, large Fowler flaps which significantly increased effective wing area when deployed, the Electra had aircraft performance capabilities unmatched by many jet aircraft. Many models are still in use today in the freighter and firefighting arenas.
KLM Royal Dutch Airlines is the flag carrier airline of the Netherlands. KLM was founded on 07 October, 1919. The airline is the oldest operating airline in the world. KLM operated 12 Lockheed L-188C Electras from 1959 to 1969. They were the first European airline to fly the Electra.
This KLM Airlines L-188 Electra with registration PH-LLG was delivered to KLM on 05 February, 1960. They operated this aircraft until April of 1968 when it was sold to Martinair Holland Airlines. It came back to KLM in January of 1969, and flew for another few months before it was sold again. This aircraft went through 12 more owners before ending up with Buffalo Airways in September of 2016, where it is still active.
This 1:200 scale die-cast Hobby Master reproduction of KLM's Electra is a very rare, highly detailed, and out of production model.  It has excellent KLM graphics. It comes with a display stand and can be shown with or without the landing gear. All sales are final. Shipping to the Continental USA only.
NOTE: An internet search will prove this is a very rare and difficult model to find. This is the only one  available.
