    Description

    Gorgeous and Hard-To-Find Large Flow Blue Polychrome Slop Jar Decorated with Red Flowers and Cobalt Blue Leaves.  Further Enhanced with Gold Highlighting - c. 1880's.  Unfortunately, no Lid.
    The Slop Jar (some refer to it as a Waste Bucket) does not have a Backstamp or Pattern Name, but was undoubtable made in England - c. 1880's.  There is an impressed "No. 2" and the Decorator's Mark or Pattern Number "146 S(?)".
    This antique Slop Jar is in extremely good condition with no significant chips (just a small 1/*' flake on the inside rim) or cracks. Crazing is present which, of course, is indigenous to these pieces given how they were made.  Also, some shelf browning along it bottom base.
    The Hand-painted Red and Gold is in very good condition with just some very minor flaking to the Red and some light wear in spots to the Gold.
    Truly in wonderful condition for its age and is absolutely beautiful - even without its Lid!
