    Description

    Far as I can tell this is working fine the handle moves  it is a little bit hard to turn. The rod cap is functional I checked it hit it with with a hammer it lowers. There is rust. The hole in the arm where one spring connects  has broken through so that'll need to be welded or another hole drilled. I think it would be fine with just one spring on the other side it's only for the return.
    The core is split by laying it lengthwise on the  block and lowering the knife by rotating the hand wheel. When the knife is in firm contact with the core, a sharp blow with a hammer on the rod cap will cleanly split the core.
