What characterizes a masterpiece by Luigi Borrelli:
The collar
- Only the most experienced embroiderers are allowed to sew on my collar with the seam. This is the hardest part of the shirt, but my seamstresses can make the collar seam extra delicate. This creates every pleasant feeling, as if the skin of the shirt was being caressed.
The shoulder adapter
- The fact that the shirt hugs the shoulder is another critical point. If I have the seams sewn by hand, the tension in the machine seam is avoided; the seam remains soft and fits perfectly.
The buttonhole
- The buttonhole of my shirts must not tear, it must be flexible and durable at the same time. And it is really fascinating to look at the individual stitches and artistic knots with which our embroiderers have conjured up their buttonholes.
Buttons
- The buttons are now being sewn on again with the old Han kick stitch. This technique also comes from the ancient tradition of the Neapler shirt sewing. This uniquely beautiful stitch needs the experienced hands of our embroiderers to succeed.

SOBS Cologne
The SOBS company was founded in Cologne in 1995.
After a successful first few years, in 2003 the company moved to the more than 200m² large, inviting premises at Hahnenstrasse 10 in the heart of Cologne city center. Since then, the shop has been easily accessible between Neumarkt and Rudolfplatz, near Mittelstrasse. The modern and luxuriously furnished rooms offer the perfect setting to present the first-class products.
Owner Oliver Brose has made it his goal to only carry the highest quality Italian fashion brands for men. The aim is to interpret classic and handmade Italian men's fashion in a modern and contemporary way.
