    A rare original and historic Revolutionary War British Army manuscript....."Return of Fresh Provision Issued by Abijah Willard, from 25th May to 24th June, 1777", including cattle ["Rebel Beef"] kept on Staten Island, New York. Signed by Col. Abijah Willard, Assistant Commissary of the British Army during the occupation of New York. Needs further research......ABIJAH WILLARD [1724-1789] of Massachusetts, served with distinction during the French and Indian Wars 1745-1760, serving at Louisburg, the dispersal of the Acadians, Fort Edward and Lake George, and the capture of Montreal. He was a loyal subject during the Revolution, and was forced to evacuate to New York with the British Army, being banished from New England.
