United States 1799 Draped Bust Silver Dollar B-11, BB-161 Late Die State PCGS AU-50
7x6 Stars. Stars 1, and 13 are distant from the portrait, star 7 close, star 8 close, while the reverse has a diagnostic defective U in UNITED. Both the obverse and reverse display evidence of multiple die clashing, and the reverse has extensive die cracks. The central devices are clear and sharp despite the late die state, with the reverse legend slightly drawn toward the rim. Pleasing brownish-gray toning deepens to blue-gray in areas throughout both sides.
