Vintage Royal Crown RC Cola Wood Carrying Crate Case

COLLECTIBLE VINTAGE WOOD ROYAL CROWN COLA CARRYING CRATE
This old wood crate or carrying case probably dates no later than the 1970’s or ‘80’s but it could be earlier.
It was used to transport 6-pack cases of RC soda bottles.
(I believe 4 6-packs fit into the crate.)

It is made of thick wood (1/4” long sides, over ¾” on short sides where handle cut outs are) which has been left its natural color.

The crate measures about 18 ¼” x 12” x 4 ½” (outside measurements.)
·
It has metal bands on all four corners and hand holds cut out of the short sides.
·
There are 3 wide planks of wood on the bottom.
·
It has red lettering saying “Royal Crown Cola” and the number “83” on the short ends and “RC” in logo form and “ROYAL CROWN COLA” on the long ends.

It does show wear --- dirt, some staining from liquid, and a small chip from the top edge of a long side – but perhaps some can be cleaned up.
